Freedom of Speech

At a press conference this morning in New York, Acer introduced a number of new touch devices, including a very eye-catching Android smartphone that's due out in April 2011.
According to Acer, the yet-unnamed device has the "soul of a tablet" but the capabilities of a smartphone, with one of the hallmark features being its 4.8-inch, 1,024x480-pixel touch screen. The company says the 21:9 aspect ratio display will provide the same user experience as a PC, so you won't need to zoom in and out and scroll left to right on Web pages.
Though Acer did not disclose which version of Android would run on the handset, the Web browser offers support for Adobe Flash 10.1, multiple windows, and multitouch.
Other goodies include a 1GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video calling, DLNA support and Dolby Mobile Technology, Wi-Fi (802.11n), and Bluetooth 3.0.
The smartphone is a quad-band GSM handset and has HSPDA support, but there was no mention of carrier at this time.

One thing we can probably all agree on is that in the future, robots will be everywhere. But will they play the role of master or servant?
Cody the robot

With luck, the latter will come to pass, and Cody, a concept robot from Georgia Tech, is an example of what we should hope for (or fear). Simply put, it's a sponge bath robot, three words I never thought I'd type in the same sentence.
The best part is it appears to do the job well, though it certainly takes all the sexiness out of the endeavor. The autonomous robot uses lasers--because, really, robots all have lasers, or at least should--to specify a body part that needs to be scrubbed.
A camera then feeds the information to a microprocessor which, in turn, commands the robot's arm to wipe the selected area, which it swabs first.
In tests conducted by Georgia Tech's Healthcare Robotics Lab, Cody used image processing to determine the hue of the "debris" (which we're guessing includes dead skin cells--and possibly bedbugs and dignity) and thus ascertain how much remained on the arm after the robot completed its task. Cody effectively removed 96 percent of the stuff.
Fortunately, it performs its duties using "relatively low force"--less than three newtons, which is science speak for, "Oh, yeah, right there, baby."
So let's recap: If you're in the hospital of the future, instead of a sexy nurse or orderly giving you your daily sponge bath, you will get a sterile, unthinking robo-doc named Cody. Sometimes progress isn't all it's meant to be. And just so you know what's coming, there's a video of Cody in action below.

Can you spare some change, like a few hundred? I'd like to buy some gold from a vending machine.
It sounds like a tacky casino attraction, but a gold vending machine that's been set up at a hotel in Abu Dhabi is the real thing.
The five-star Emirates Palace Hotel installed the bullion ATM in its lobby as the first permanent gold vending machine in the world, according to Ex Oriente Lux, the German firm that developed it.

Gold bars and coins come out of the hotel vending machine in a gift box.

The Gold To Go machine sells 24-carat gold bars weighing 1, 5, and 10 grams as well as gold coins from Canada, Australia, and South Africa. Each comes in a gift box.
The prices are updated every hour via a link to Ex Oriente Lux's online shop. The company says the prices are competitive because there are no staffing costs for the machine.
Depending on its contents, the machine can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. It's nearly 6 feet tall, and, of course, features a gold-leaf finish. Users navigate menu choices via a 19-inch touch screen, and can pay for their gold with cash or credit card.
The machine can handle up to 10 products, and inventory is monitored with RFID tags. Security features include a camera and an ID scanner to prevent money laundering. Ex Oriente says its machine is "largely burglar-proof and tamper-resistant."
The company believes guests at the opulent Emirates Palace will want a shiny souvenir of their stay despite gold's flirting with record highs of near $1,250 an ounce this week.

If in Japan, people make robots for the pitted, so this time the company in Canada to make human-sized robot to assist the job every day. Is Dr. Robots, quoted from the official website drrobot.com, creating a "hawk" friendly, completely automated, wireless and handsome of course. Hawk form adapted to the anatomy of the human body.Having the head and two hands. However, to adjourn Hawk still uses a wheel drive.
To complete the work you assign, the second arm with 6 joints are capable of lifting loads weighing 800g (max. 1 kg), On the chest there is a monitor that plays video and menamoilkan image. With 802.11g wireless, Hawk is able to connect to the network so that you can command it remotely via an internet connection. Even the hawk has a GPS system that allows you to mutually monitor each other. Although with the speed of only 0.5 m / s he will not be much anywhere where.
Here Hawk architectural design.

Dr.Robot is a company engaged in the manufacture of the robot maid of human work.Until recently Dr. Robot has made about 25 robots and Hawk is the latest version of the most perfect of the most complete in terms of form and feature. So do not be surprised if the price offered is also "the most" amazing. You must spend of U.S. 5,000 for Hawk to your order

Perhaps During this we see on satellite images like the following picture, then we will think that the satellite is only slightly above there

Satellites are objects that orbit other objects with a certain period of revolution and rotation. There are two types of satellite satellite that is natural and artificial satellites.
Here are the Types of Satellite:
* Satellite astronomy* Satellite communication* Earth observation satellite* Satellite navigation* Spy satellite* Satellite solar power* Space stations* Satellite weather* Satellite miniature
Types of Satellite Orbit:Many satellites are categorized on the height of its orbit, although a satellite can orbit at any height.
1. Low Orbit (Low Earth Orbit, LEO): 300 - 1500km above the earth's surface.
2. Orbit Medium (Medium Earth Orbit, MEO): 1500-36000 km.
3. Geosynchronous orbit (geosynchronous orbit, GSO): approximately 36,000 km above the Earth's surface.
4. Geostationary orbit (geostationary orbit, GEO): 35 790 km above the Earth's surface.5. High Orbit (High Earth Orbit, Heo): above 36 000 km.
Orbit following is a special orbit which is also used to categorize satellites:
* Molniya orbit, a satellite orbit with the orbital period of 12 hours and inclination of about 63 °.* Orbit Sunsynchronous, satellite orbit with high inclination and particular that always crossed the equator on the same local clock.* Polar orbit, the satellite's orbit that crosses the polar
See how many types of satellites that make sense whether the photo-satellite photos that we see there are only a few satellites are
In fact:

Launched the first artificial satellite to orbit Earth was Sputnik 1, launched on October 4, 1957 by the Soviet Union after the more advanced technology makes rapidly growing satellite launchNext. Up to January 19, 2000, the number of man-made satellites have been launched to Earth is 5159 gorbit satellite.
And until now based on existing data in the catalog UCS version October 1, 2009, the number of satellites that function is 918 units. From the latest data obtained from Space-Track (edition May 26, 2010 at 01:21:34 GMT) note that the number of artificial celestial bodies larger than 10 cm which is currently circling the earth is
15,616 units (increase compared to last month's 42 )
Satellite (function not working) = 3437
Rocket Body = 1864
Flakes = 10 219
Total = 15,520 satellite
How many that?
